In the morning, special help was provided to children who could benefit by remedial education and courses of a cultural nature. Older children were given practical work experience. Following lunch, and a short rest period, swimming was enjoyed in the beautiful new outdoor pool under the direction of trained swimming instructors. All forms of outdoor sports were provided and the gymnasium was used to the full on rainy days. Frequent trips were made to New York City, and nearby points of historical and educational interest. Picnics, camping and fishing trips were also enjoyed by the children.
